Ciarra Sanchez was heading east on I-78 in Upper Saucon Township when the vehicle veered off the road and struck a concrete bridge pillar on Monday, Nov. 11, according to Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio.

She was pronounced dead on the scene at 1:38 a.m., with the cause of death listed as multiple blunt force injuries.

In the wake of her sudden passing, Ciarra’s mother’s colleagues at Christ Hospital launched a GoFundMe campaign to help ease the financial burden on the family. As of Friday, Nov. 15, the fundraiser had garnered more than $8,300, as friends, family, and community members joined forces to honor Ciarra’s memory.

Social media has been flooded with tributes from those who loved Ciarra. Friends shared heartfelt messages, with one writing, "May that beautiful soul rest 🕊️ fly high, Cici."

Another posted, "Forever a princess in my heart." In her last public Facebook post, Ciarra had proudly shared a prompt journal she created and was selling on Amazon, a testament to her creativity and ambition.

Arrangements have not yet been finalized.
